ZIEGLER receives order for a Z6 to Kortrijk-Wevelgem International Airport

ZIEGLER receives order for a Z6 to Kortrijk-Wevelgem International Airport

Ziegler Brandweertechniek, a subsidiary of ZIEGLER Group based in Winschoten, Netherlands, received an order for the delivery of a new ZIEGLER Crash tender Z6 to the airport Kortrijk-Wevelgem in Belgium. The vehicle will be delivered in the first quarter of 2022.

The Crashtender will be builton a TITAN 6×6 chassis with steering rear axle and is equipped with a Scania 770 HP V8 engine. Furthermore,the vehicle will be equipped with a 12,000 l water tank, a 1,500l foam tank and 250kg extinguishing powder. The Z-Cab Air is certified according ECE R 29-3 and therefore guarantees highest occupant protection.

The vehicle will be controlledand operated via Z-Control of the latest generation according to the whole ZIEGLER line.

About the airport Kortrijk-Wevelgem

The international airport Kortrijk-Wevelgem is based in West-Vlaanderen and has built up a very good reputation as a business airport and has a runway of 2 kilometers.

Last year, a brand new taxiway and a platform for aircrafts was built. The central location in Europe supports and strengthens the international appearance of the region.

In addition to business air travel, charters also use the airport and maintenance companies of helicopters and airplanes are established.
