ZIEGLER delivers 6 HLF 20 to the fire department of Göttingen
ZIEGLER has successfully delivered six new HLF 20 firefighting vehicles to the Göttingen Professional and Volunteer Fire Departments, marking a significant step forward in the city’s commitment to modernizing its emergency response fleet. The acquisition of these identical, high-performance vehicles ensures consistency in operations, training, and maintenance, ultimately improving efficiency during critical incidents.
The new ZIEGLER HLF 20 Göttingen Fire Department vehicles are designed to meet the demands of both firefighting and technical rescue operations. Their versatility allows firefighters to respond effectively to a wide range of emergencies, from structural fires to complex rescue scenarios. By investing in advanced firefighting technology, Göttingen continues to strengthen its public safety infrastructure and enhance the protection of its residents.

Each HLF 20 is built on a robust MAN TGM 13.320 4×4 BL chassis, delivering 235 kW (320 HP) of engine power. This ensures excellent performance across various terrains and challenging conditions. The vehicles feature a wheelbase of 3,950 mm, offering optimal balance between maneuverability and stability—critical factors during emergency response situations.
The superstructure is based on ZIEGLER’s latest-generation ALPAS system, known for its lightweight yet durable construction. Combined with the intuitive Z-Control operating concept, firefighters benefit from improved usability and faster deployment times. These innovations contribute to safer and more efficient operations on the ground.
Crew comfort and accessibility have also been prioritized in the design. The vehicles are equipped with the ZIEGLER Z-Cab, accommodating a full crew of eight (1+7). The three-step entry system ensures quick and safe boarding, allowing firefighters to respond rapidly when every second counts.
In terms of firefighting capabilities, the vehicles are fitted with the powerful ZIEGLER FPN Z-Pump 10-2000-1H. This is supported by a 1,600-liter water tank and an additional 120-liter foam tank, providing flexibility in tackling different types of fires. Whether dealing with urban incidents or more complex emergencies, these vehicles are equipped to perform effectively.
This delivery highlights ZIEGLER’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative and reliable firefighting solutions. It also reflects a broader trend within the fire industry toward modernization, standardization, and improved operational readiness.
