The WildfireCamp@INTERSCHUTZ is a new platform within INTERSCHUTZ, where national and international experts present innovative methods for the prevention and fighting of wildfires.
United Against Wildfires
The WildfireCamp@INTERSCHUTZ is the new platform dedicated to wildfire protection. In June 2026, leading experts will showcase groundbreaking solutions for early detection, prevention, and combatting wildfires at the Hanover fairgrounds.
Alongside practical demonstrations, the focus will be on exchanging strategies and presenting new technologies – all aimed at detecting fires early or, ideally, preventing them altogether.
With four strong partners – Bosch Building Technologies, the European Forest Institute (EFI), @fire und IMBOS e.V. – the WildfireCamp at INTERSCHUTZ brings together decision-makers, emergency services, and technology providers.
Experience cutting-edge technologies, exchange knowledge, and help shape the future of forest fire protection!
Here’s what you can expect at WildfireCamp
- The Concept: A Camp as an Operational Base
Immersion & Realism: The camp is designed and organized like a real operational site.
“From Practice for Practice”: All content, techniques, and solutions are field-tested and operationally proven.
Safety Check-In: Visitors experience the professional start of an operation, just as in a real emergency.
Language of the Field: Technical terms and tactics (e.g., LACES, Pump & Roll) are explained and made tangible.
- The Added Value: Knowledge to Take and Apply
“Solutions in Action”: Instead of just browsing brochures, visitors experience solutions that have proven themselves in real operations—from specialized axes to off-road vehicles.
Hands-On Networking: No distance, no podium—experts are right alongside visitors.
“Experts to Talk To”: International professionals with operational experience from around the world are on site to answer questions, demonstrate techniques, and share their experiences.
Takeaway Practical Knowledge: Visitors leave not just with information, but with applicable knowledge and concrete ideas for their own organizations.
- The Atmosphere: International Exchange & Stories from the Fire
International Hub: The camp is the central meeting point for the global vegetation firefighting community.
Unfiltered Exchange: German responders meet colleagues and experts from the USA, Australia, and other global “hotspots.”
“Campfire Tales”: A unique evening format where personal and instructive stories from real operations, domestic and abroad, are shared in a relaxed campfire setting.
Authentic Insights: The “Campfire Tales” convey the human side of firefighting—the challenges, camaraderie, and experiences that shape real missions.
