Streamlight® Releases the Ultra-Thin Wedge® SL — A Modern Rechargeable Inspection Light Slimmed to Perfection
Streamlight®, Inc., a global leader in high-performance lighting solutions, has introduced the Wedge® SL, a new generation of slim, USB-C rechargeable inspection lights designed to deliver pocketable power and precision. Engineered for professionals and enthusiasts alike, the Wedge SL brings together compact design, durability, and advanced functionality for everyday use and demanding work environments.
The Wedge SL features an ultra-thin unibody made from Type II MIL-Spec anodized aluminum, offering a lightweight yet rugged build that fits comfortably in any pocket. Its tail switch allows for easy one-handed operation, with both momentary and constant-on modes for quick, controlled lighting.
In High Mode, the Wedge SL produces 100 lumens, 300 candela, and a 35-metre beam distance, while Low Mode outputs 50 lumens, 150 candela, and a 24-metre beam — ideal for close-up work. For maximum brightness, the THRO® (Temporarily Heightened Regulated Output) mode delivers 500 lumens with a simple three-second press.
Users can further personalise their lighting setup through Streamlight’s TEN-TAP® programmable switch, which allows selection between preferred output sequences, offering unmatched versatility for professionals, technicians, and outdoor users.
“We created the Wedge SL as an ultra-portable lighting tool that doesn’t compromise on performance,” said Michael F. Dineen, President of Streamlight. “It’s low-profile, rugged, and packed with features that make it ideal for both professional and everyday carry applications, including auto work and outdoor use.”
Powering the device is an integrated lithium-polymer battery that recharges quickly via USB-C. The flashlight also includes a four-level LED battery status indicator, keeping users informed on remaining runtime and charge status. Built for real-world conditions, it meets IPX4 water-resistant standards and is impact-tested to one metre.
Additional features include a stainless-steel injection-moulded pocket clip, multi-function tactile switch, and an unbreakable acrylic lens for maximum reliability. Available in Black, Coyote, and Silver, the Wedge SL measures 14.35 cm long, 1.4 cm wide, 0.7 cm thick, and weighs only 32.3 grams — slim enough to carry anywhere without bulk.
The Streamlight Wedge SL exemplifies how advanced lighting design continues to evolve for modern users, providing a perfect balance between portability, power, and precision.
