Saab’s SAFE solution selected by Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services

Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services have selected Saab’s SAFE solution to modernise their fire control room operations in a joint service collaboration.

SAFE will provide the services with a unified mobilisation and communications platform that transforms and streamlines business and operational workflows. The system is founded upon a highly flexible and innovative ‘Configuration Framework’, which gives users the flexibility to create and modify key processes such as Incident Management workflows, call handling techniques, and attribute-based mobilising recommendations.

Together, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services cover an area of over 2 million people, and they join a growing number of emergency services and government agencies who have adopted the SAFE solution.

Assistant Chief Fire Officer and Strategic Collaboration Lead for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue services, Michael Sharman said, “Our purpose is to serve the communities of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire by embracing new technology. By investing in a new mobilisation system, we will ensure that we are able to deliver a high-quality service more efficiently and effectively. We are excited to build a positive working relationship with Saab UK and to see the benefits that this new system will bring for our communities, our firefighters, and the control room staff who use it.”
