FC stands for FULL CONTROL: As the first model of its kind, the ODYSSEUS FC offers innovative features for maximum usability in operation – easylift, easyview, easyfit, easytouch.

The ODYSSEUS FC is our first firefighting glove available in both Regular Fit and Slim Fit. The specially developed Slim Fit design provides an optimal fit for narrow hands with long fingers – ensuring even more comfort, control, and grip feel. This cut was specifically developed for slim hands with longer fingers. It is designed to address women, who typically have narrower hands and longer fingers, as well as men with proportionally longer fingers for whom the Regular Fit is too wide. This makes the ODYSSEUS FC a precise solution for a wide range of hand shapes.

The textile-leather combination firefighting glove ODYSSEUS FC combines the best properties of textile and leather gloves in one model. The leather palm ensures excellent tactile sensitivity and grip, while the flame-retardant Aramid/Lenzing FR® fabric on the back of the hand provides a very lightweight feel combined with outstanding heat protection. The robust yet flexible Heat Block Nappa leather offers high flame and water resistance and shows minimal shrinkage even under extreme heat exposure. Fire Block split leather reinforcements increase durability and provide additional protection. The back of the hand is additionally equipped with flame-resistant neoprene, acting as an effective heat barrier and further improving thermal protection. This ensures excellent radiant and convective heat protection. The innovative cut-resistant lining made of Kevlar®/Inox/LCP provides outstanding protection against cuts and sharp edges. Reinforcements on the knuckles act as an additional barrier against thermal stress and heat build-up.

The innovative easylift technology in the thumb tip area significantly improves grip and fine motor skills, enabling safe, precise and controlled handling of even small or difficult-to-grip objects. A patch between thumb and back of hand provides additional protection against heat penetration and, thanks to its soft velour surface, is ideal for quickly cleaning the helmet visor. Dirt, soot, water or condensation can be removed quickly, ensuring clear visibility at all times thanks to easyview technology. The easyfit donning aid allows fast and convenient glove entry. The integrated easytouch technology on the little finger enables easy and reliable operation of touchscreens.

The flame-retardant Porelle® insert protects against moisture and also provides protection against liquid chemical penetration (EN ISO 6530 / ISO 13994) combined with thermal stability. The lining, insert fixation, and outer shell connection are produced using the patented ESKA process – a permanent bonding of the inner lining. This ensures that the lining cannot be pulled out, even after repeated washing cycles.

Additional features: Reflective piping and the reflective ESKA logo improve visibility in operation. Knuckle protection on the back of the hand provides additional protection against thermal and mechanical stress. Reinforcements on the knuckles act as an extra barrier against heat build-up.

The anatomically shaped 3D cut follows the natural hand position, ensuring optimal fit and maximum freedom of movement. Reflective piping and the reflective ESKA logo further enhance visibility in operation.

Machine washable at 40°C, suitable for air drying and LCO2 cleaning. All mechanical and thermal performance values are maintained both in new condition and after 5 washing cycles at 40°C.
