Emergency Services Show 2026 Preview

The Emergency Services Show returns to the NEC Birmingham on 16–17 September 2026, bringing together firefighters, emergency responders, industry specialists and leading equipment manufacturers for two days of innovation, learning and collaboration.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the event is expected to welcome more than 16,000 emergency services professionals and over 500 exhibiting organisations. Visitors will be able to explore thousands of products and solutions covering firefighter PPE, operational equipment, vehicles, communications, training, rescue technology and station facilities.

The Fire Product Search team will also be attending the Emergency Services Show 2026. We look forward to meeting firefighters, fire and rescue service representatives, manufacturers and industry colleagues from across the UK and beyond.

Why should firefighters visit the Emergency Services Show?

For firefighters, the show offers an opportunity to get hands-on with the equipment and technology that could influence the future of frontline operations.

Products can be examined, compared and discussed directly with the people who design and manufacture them. This gives visitors the chance to ask detailed questions, offer operational feedback and understand how new solutions could improve firefighter safety, effectiveness and wellbeing.

According to the organisers, representatives from 50 of the UK’s 52 fire and rescue services attended the previous show. The 2026 event is designed to provide practical value for everyone from operational firefighters and training teams to fleet managers, procurement specialists and senior officers.

Visitor registration is free for emergency services professionals.

Live demonstrations and practical experiences

The Emergency Services Show is much more than a traditional trade exhibition. Its programme combines product displays with live demonstrations, practical learning and opportunities to see equipment being used in realistic scenarios.

The show’s dedicated areas and activities are expected to include:

  • The ATACC frontline casualty-care demonstration
  • The Drone and Robotics Zone
  • The Collaboration Zone
  • Fleet of the Future
  • Resilience360
  • The Local Resilience Forum Conference
  • Multi-agency learning and networking opportunities

These areas allow firefighters to explore developments in technical rescue, casualty care, operational technology, fleet management, resilience and interoperability.

The co-located Emergency Tech Show will provide further access to emerging technology, including artificial intelligence, data, communications and digital systems designed to improve operational decision-making and connectivity.

Free CPD-accredited learning

More than 50 CPD-accredited sessions are planned across several content stages, combining expert presentations with practical case studies and frontline experience.

One of the most relevant areas for firefighters will be the Protecting the Protectors Stage. Its programme will examine health impacts on frontline personnel, operational hazards, workforce resilience, situational awareness and ways to keep emergency responders safer.

The People and Skills Stage will cover the complete emergency-services career journey, including recruitment, training, professional development, mentoring and support for personnel moving into new roles.

New for 2026, Fleet of the Future will explore the challenge of keeping emergency vehicles mission-ready while improving performance, road safety, cost control and long-term fleet resilience.

Visitors attending eligible sessions will be able to register their attendance and receive downloadable CPD certificates. The latest speakers and session times can be found through the official Emergency Services Show content programme.

The open design encourages airflow around damp PPE, while modular and mobile options allow storage areas to be adapted as station requirements change.

GEARGRID products will be presented by VI Distribution on Stand M52.

The Fire Product Search team will be attending the show across both days.

We look forward to catching up with our readers, customers and industry partners, discovering the latest firefighting products and speaking with the people helping to shape the future of firefighter safety and emergency response.
