ADEXCO 2025

The 5th edition of ADEXCO proposes a comprehensive exploration of Indonesia’s unique position as a laboratory for disaster management and its determined efforts to foster sustainable resilience, including robust civil protection measures. As the largest economy in Southeast Asia, Indonesia stands as a beacon with a substantial population and vast natural resources, underscoring its economic significance. However, being at the forefront of economic growth, Indonesia faces an array of threats, ranging from seismic activities to the impacts of climate change. The proposed show aims to delve into Indonesia’s multifaceted approach to disaster management, highlighting the pivotal role of civil protection in orchestrating cohesive and effective responses to natural calamities.

Indonesia’s strategic geographical location exposes it to various hazards, making disaster management and civil protection integral to the nation’s development. The show seeks to illuminate Indonesia’s initiatives and innovations in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery, with a specific focus on the critical role of civil protection agencies. By leveraging its No.1 economy status, vast population, and rich natural resources, Indonesia aspires to build a sustainable resilience framework. This framework encompasses not only technological advancements and community engagement but also the pivotal role of civil protection agencies in coordinating emergency responses and safeguarding citizens.

The show endeavors to underscore Indonesia’s commitment to becoming a model for sustainable disaster resilience through an integrated and inclusive approach, where civil protection plays a central role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the population.
