A+A 2025 Safety Innovations and Sustainability of Work
A+A 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for safety, security, and health at work, concluded with remarkable success after four dynamic days. Under the guiding theme “People Matter,” the event reinforced its position as a global hub for innovation and collaboration in occupational safety and wellbeing.
This year’s A+A welcomed 2,340 exhibitors from 70 countries and 67,000 visitors from 150 nations to Düsseldorf, all eager to explore the latest advancements shaping safer and healthier workplaces. The strong international presence and growth in visitor numbers once again highlighted the event’s global significance.
According to Marius Berlemann, COO of Messe Düsseldorf, “A+A has again confirmed its role as the global meeting point for safety and health at work and as an important driver of industry innovation.”
More than 81% of visitors were decision-makers, representing industries ranging from manufacturing and construction to healthcare and services. With 52% of attendees coming from outside Germany, the fair showcased the truly international scope of workplace safety and health innovation.
Innovation and Sustainability Drive the Future of Work
A+A 2025 placed strong emphasis on ergonomics, artificial intelligence (AI), and sustainable production, setting the tone for the future of occupational safety. The EXO PARK presented cutting-edge exoskeleton technologies and digital ergonomic tools, while exhibitors demonstrated how modern PPE and workwear combine design, function, and sustainability.
Lightweight, durable, and eco-friendly materials took center stage, reflecting the industry’s push toward comfort and environmental responsibility. The Corporate Fashion Show further illustrated how style and identity can enhance safety culture, showcasing innovative workwear collections four times daily.
A highlight of the event was the International Start-up Zone, where young companies introduced breakthrough ideas — from AI-driven protection systems to sensor-based safety monitoring and sustainable PPE materials.

39th A+A Congress Strengthens Prevention and Leadership
Running alongside the exhibition, the 39th International Congress for Occupational Safety and Occupational Medicine attracted around 3,000 participants from Germany and abroad. Organized by the Federal German Association for Occupational Safety and Health (Basi), the Congress featured 100 sessions and 330 speakers addressing the latest topics in workplace health and safety.
Key themes included digital transformation, AI applications, mental health, violence prevention, and leadership in occupational safety. The Vision Zero Stage and A+A Cinema introduced new interactive formats to engage participants more deeply in practical solutions.
Dr. Christian Felten, Managing Director of Basi, concluded: “Prevention is more than theory – it is experienceable and forward-looking.”

Live Demonstrations and Real-World Applications
Beyond the exhibition halls, A+A 2025 impressed visitors with live fire protection and emergency management demonstrations, offering hands-on insights into modern rescue technologies. These sessions bridged the gap between theory and practice, underscoring the fair’s commitment to real-world safety solutions.
The Trend Forum became the event’s knowledge hub, where experts debated the future of mental health, AI, and sustainable workplace design.
Looking Ahead: A+A 2027
The event concluded with excitement for the next edition. A+A 2027 will return to Düsseldorf from 19–22 October 2027, promising even greater engagement and innovation for global workplace safety and health professionals.
