SMFR is a career fire and rescue agency with 29 Stations overseen by 1 District Chief, 5 Battalion Chiefs and 1 EMS District Supervisor. There are 22 Engine Companies, 6 Ladder Companies, 19 ALS Medic Units, 14 Wildland Brush Trucks, 6 Water Tenders, 3 ARFF Units, 2 Water Rescue Units, 1 Rescue Company, 1 Haz-Mat, 1 Decon Unit, 1 Tracked Vehicle, 1 Foam Unit and 1 Large Area Ventilation Fan.
