Federal Signal Vama, aware of its clients needs and requirements, is launching a new family of high technology products based on a CAN BUS communications system.

The new CAN-BUS multifunction technology permits the centralised management of a number of options: from lightbars and all the lighting and acoustic functions of a vehicle (sirens, power supplies, LED sets, etc.) to a wide range of additional elements, many of which are user defined, including battery charge level detection, radio, centralised locking system, open door detection system, ventilation and air extraction system, etc.

The CAN BUS system that Federal Signal Vama is launching into the market is based on new control heads (Series BCT2000), new sirens and power modules that incorporate intelligent power switches (Series GEP2000). Communication between the control heads and power modules is through a simple telephone wire.
