Flat HP Lifting Bag

Supplied by Savatech.

The new advanced Savatech product – Flat high-pressure lifting bag – Flat Bag (FB)

Savatech d.o.o. has devised a new, revolutionary concept of high-pressure flat lifting bags. The so-called Flat bags represent the upgrading of the  conventional lifting bags, their main advantage being in the flat surface of the bag, when reaching the maximum lifting point. The lifting hysteresis of these bags are, in comparison to the conventional bags, fundamentally different, especially in the second part, and they never get close to the null lifting capacity.

When inflating the bag,  the air column rises, together with the lifting height. The greatest height and the highest possible lifting force are precisely determined for each particular bag. When the bag is being inflated, it does not take a typical, ball-shaped form, due to the restraints in the inside of the bag. Instead, the bag keeps a flat shape.

The flat surface of the lifting bag ensures perfect stability when used, and enables the use of two or three bags of the same dimensions at the same time, which results in the increase of the lifting height. To reach larger lifting heights, when lifting the load with two or three bags at the outside, it is necessary to use bags of the same dimensions. The bags are centrically set to one another, fastened together with a special system, which additionally protects the bags against the slip.

The use of Sava flat lifting bags is, due to their flat structure, much safer in comparison to the conventional bags, because their shape ensures a better grip, as well as better adjustment in all sorts of circumstances.

At the moment, Sava is offering four different sizes of the bags which cover most of the needs of the rescue teams, who actually use the bags.

The new construction of the bag and the outer surface enable the following:

1. The use of three bags of the same dimensions at the same time, that is when the bags are set to one another. This sort of use has not been possible with the conventional bags so far.

2. Higher degree of safety, due to the larger contact surface, or the constant contact surface while lifting- when inflating, the bag does not take the shape of a ball, but it remains flat instead.

3. Constant lifting capacity, independent of the lift height.

4. Constant lift height, independent of the load weight.

5. It is no longer necessary to pay attention to what amount of pressure the bag fills itself with, but it should rather be filled with the maximum pressure allowed, which is 8 bar, irrespective of the load weight. This is due to the fact, that the bag, when lifting light loads, inflates to the maximum height, where it still remains flat. In the case of the conventional bags, the bag takes the shape of a ball when inflated, which contributes to the fact, that the load, together with the bag, can easily tip over.

General features, or advantages of the bags:

When the bag is being inflated, the air column rises together with the lifting height. The greatest height, as well as the greatest possible lifting force are precisely determined for each bag; both can be found in the technical data tables below. When the bag is being inflated, it does not take a typical, ball-shaped form, due to the restraints in the inside of the bag. Instead, the bag keeps a flat shape (picture). It is important, that before the use, the user of the bag knows the greatest lifting force, as well as the greatest lifting height. Only by doing so, one can choose and use the bags properly.

The lifting height can be increased by placing the bags one to another. To reach greater lifting heights, when lifting the load with two or three bags at the outside, it is necessary to use bags of the same dimensions. The bags are centrically set to one another, fastened together with a special system (tapes and carabiners), which additionally protects the bags against the slip.
