Decontamination showers and tents are used as part of mass decontamination of people, in the event of industrial, accidental, or intentional contamination by hazardous materials (hazmat).  Decontaminations tents fitted with showers are used to clean and decontaminate patients from toxic, infective, caustic, polluted, or otherwise unhealthful or damaging substances.
