PHD6
Supplied by Shawcity Limited.
Ensure you know what gasses are there with the PHD6 range of multigas monitors by Honeywell (formally Sperian)
Entry into confined spaced or areas where explosive or toxic gases may be present demand that a gas monitor is worn. Many areas present the same predictable issues regarding those gases that need to be measured. It is usually explosive gas including Methane, Oxygen depletion, Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Sulphide. But not always!
Frequently solvents or Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are present. Other toxic gases including Chlorine, Nitrogen Oxides, and Sulphur Dioxide etc. may be present or Carbon Dioxide may pose a threat.
With the capability to measure up to 6 gases in one compact personal monitor the PHD6 gives unrivalled protection. There are 18 different sensor options making it the most configurable gas detector on the market.
A mixture of sensor technology can be accommodated. A Photo-ionisation Detector (PID) is available for VOC measurement. Infra-red sensors for CO2 and Methane, conventional LEL, Oxygen plus 15 different toxic sensors.

The PHD6 is tough and easy to handle. With rechargeable li-ion batteries or interchangeable alkaline batteries you can operate for 24 hours.
Pre-entry testing is easy with the PHD6 and a manual sample draw kit or an optional pump is available.
Audible alarms are unlike anything you have heard from a gas monitor and rated at 92dB. Visual alarms are also highly visible.
For increased peace of mind an optional docking station for instrument testing and calibration is available. This means it is very easy and fast to check the performance of the PHD6 every time you use it and a record of testing is automatically archived to your PC.

So what are the key features of the PHD6?
- 5 Sensor Ports and 18 Sensor Options
LEL, oxygen and 15 different toxic gas sensors including Duo-Tox.
- PID Sensor Option
PID sensor monitors for hundreds of known VOCs.
- IR CO2 Sensor Option
For breweries, wineries and anywhere accumulations of CO2 can be an issue.
- Electrochemical Sensor Options
Choose from 14 different electrochemical toxic gas sensors.
- LEL Sensor Option
An LEL sensor is available for the detection of combustible gases and vapours.
- Durable
The PHD6 is enclosed in a solid polycarbonate case with a TPE (rubber) over-mould, so it’s both tough and easy to handle.
- Interchangeable Battery Packs
Both Li-Ion and Alkaline battery packs offer up to 24 hour run times.
- Alarms that stand out
The new dual audible alarms in the PHD6 are unlike anything you’ve ever heard from a gas detector and rated at 92 db.
- Status Bar with Easily Recognized Symbols
Symbol beats every few seconds to let you know that the instrument is functioning normally.
- IQ Dock Compatibility
Reduce labour costs, automate recordkeeping and save calibration gas all at the same time with the IQ6 Dock.
- Intuitive Menu-Driven Instrument Configuration
Select from the Main Menu or the Basic Menu. Access all instrument configuration options from alarm settings to passcode access option to menus.
- Built-In IrDA Port for Easy Downloads
Every PHD6 includes a built-in IrDA port that allows the instrument to be configured with a PC. The IrDA port also allows instruments with the Data-logger upgrade to be downloaded in the field to retrieve data on calibrations and exposure levels.
