Security industry experts target a new market: Kazakhstan

Over 1,200 security professionals will attend the 2nd Almaty International Protection, Security, Fire Safety and Rescue (AIPS) Exhibition, being held on 14th – 16th March 2012 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

AIPS is one of Kazakhstan’s leading security industry events which connects international security businesses with local suppliers and buyers seeking security, protection, rescue, fire safety, IT safety, personal safety and solutions.

Kazakhstan has been identified as one of the fastest developing security markets as the country undergoes a new era of large-scale modernisation. President Nursultan Nazarbayev forecasted that the non-oil sector would grow by 15% by 2017. This, along with a GDP that has increased to $US196.4bn, has strengthened the security market.
This year, Kazakhstan has also been recognised as one of the ‘Top 10 Most Improved Countries’, and ranked 59th in the ‘Ease of Doing Business Index’. This has attracted many foreign investors such, as Flir Commercial Systems BV (Netherlands), KP Electronics (Israel) and Dahua Technology Company (China) who have all confirmed to participate at AIPS 2012.

Dilshod Yusupov, Project Manager, ITE Groups, states: “Our research demonstrates that international companies want to enter the Kazakh security market, but they may not have the resources to do so. That’s why AIPS provides the perfect platform for the international companies to reach local buyers, gain direct insights on local market demands, and conduct competitor research to identify profitable distribution networks.”

Exhibitors wishing to participate at AIPS should contact Dilshod Yusupov on dilshod.yusupov@ite-exhibitins.com or call +44 (0) 207 596 5079.
