NEW: PrimaX Gas Transmitter

PrimaX, the new fixed gas transmitter from MSA, is suited to a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications for the detection of combustible gases, toxic gases or oxygen.

Available in flameproof (PrimaX P) and intrinsically safe (PrimaX I) versions, the PrimaX is ATEX, IECEx, UL and CSA approved, has IP66 ingress protection and also SIL 2 approval from TUV.

Featuring innovative custom designed enclosures with integral keypad for ease of use and a large LCD with clear plain text, both versions have the option for HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) digital protocol.


The PrimaX P can be 3 or 4 wire with the option of alarm and fault relays and includes three status LED’s while the PrimaX I is 2 wire only. Built in diagnostics provide fault and warning information on the display. The PrimaX full scale gas range of up to 22 gases and the span calibration points can be adjusted to suit individual requirements and a wide range of applications. With plug-in replacement sensors and an integral backplate for fast and easy installation, the PrimaX range of gas transmitters is both cost effective and easy to use.
