Market Overview
China today is one of the largest and fastest growing markets in the World for safety & Security products. Thanks to the thriving economy, the influx of foreign direct investment and government policies aimed at enhancing security across the country, China presents a very lucrative market which is growing at a compounded annual growth rate of more than 20%. China’s economic success over the past 25 years has produced a society with a huge appetite for everything required to sustain its growth and enhance the standard of living of its citizens.
China’s rapidly growing economy leads the way. China’s GDP is increasing at a rate of about 10%annually, driven largely by rapid increases in private consumption (both households and enterprises).
Foreign direct investment (FDI) in reached nearly over USD 100 billion in 2010.
Enormous marketing of post-disaster reconstruction
There have been significant contributions from the regional and local governments towards disaster reduction and recovery. Reports show that Central and Local budgets for 2009 had a provision of US$ 21.46 billion towards public security. 2010 budgets have an increase of 8% and expecting spend around US$ 23.18 billion towards public security.
The central budget in 2010 for post-disaster reconstruction fund is US$ 162.4 billion towards infrastructure, industry, environment, disaster prevention and reduction. Central government paid almost US$ 50.32 billion USD in post-disaster reconstruction during the period 2008-2009.

Review of SDRS 2010
The gross exhibit space reached 3,000 square meters in 2010, registering an increase of 76% over the previous session. The exhibition featured official pavilions from USA and Japan. 16 companies from the United States, Japan, Britain, Italy, Denmark, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries were present at the show.
The show attracted a total of 4692 visitors from home and abroad, including 4256 overseas visitors and 436 local visitors. It is estimated that the show has generated business worth 39 Million Yuan for exhibitors. 15 exhibitors have signed up on the spot for the 2011 reflecting the success and ROI generated.
The top 500 companies, such as 3M, GE, Hitachi, Toray showcased their latest products and technologies in 2010 and confirmed to participate in the 2011 events again.

About the Venue
TP (Shanghai World Expo Pavilion) is a multi-functional exhibition centers inspiring your creativity.The whole area of TP is 11.5 hectares and its construction area is counted for 171, 000 sq meters, 54% of which is surface structures. Entering from the South and North entrances, visitors will see the surface structures where the Central Hall, Exhibition Hall 1, 2, 3 and VIP rooms located. The underground area makes up 93, 000 sq meters, which is constituted by the Exhibition Hall 4, Exhibition Hall 5, Conference Rooms, Equipment Area and Parking areas. Other functional areas include three outside squares (the South squares, North squares and an open-air underground square) and two unloading areas distributed on the east and west of the site.
