The Groupe GENETECH started off in 1978 when Thierry Delerue purchased PROMAT SECURITE (3 employees) in Le Havre, Northern France.
This company supplied fire fighting equipment and maintenance.
In 1985 a sister company was created with Groupe Leader (Le Havre) importer and exporter of innovative fire fighting equipment.10 years later, Groupe Leader, started designing and manufacturing its own fire fighting and rescue equipment.
After 10 years of development in European countries, subsidiaries were established in Germany, the United Kingdom and an agency was established for Spain and Portugal in 1999.
In 2000 a new company, Bio Ex (Montrottier, France) was created for the production of innovative foams for use in domestic and industrial fire suppression.
