Profile
SENSITRON: A young Company with great ideas
Dr. Giacomo Frigo founded SENSITRON S.r.l. in 1988 with the mission to becoming an international reference point for industrial toxic and inflammable gas detection.
Sensitron S.r.l., based in Cornaredo, Italy, for years has been committed with the research and development of flammable and toxic gas detectors and has, in a very short time, ranked among the European market Leaders.
The development of highly reliable sensors, the systematic use of microprocessor technology, the compliance with European standards and the quality procedures adopted, guarantee one of the best and largest product ranges in the worldwide gas detection market.
In anticipation to the ATEX Directive 94/9/CE compulsory starting from July 1, 2003, Sensitron gas detectors have been ATEX certified since December 2001.
Sensitron has been the first Italian manufacturer of gas detection systems to obtain the following certificates:
CESI 01 ATEX 086Q Production Quality Assurance
CESI 01 ATEX 053 Safety Electrical Requirements (IEC 60079-0-1))
CESI 03 ATEX 339 Safety Electrical Requirements (IEC 60079-15))
CESI 02 ATEX 084 Performance requirements (IEC 60079-29-1&4)
This last certificate refers to the detectors performance and assures the quality and the high features a gas detector has to offer.
In addition to the above, we are about to launch on the market an even more enhanced gas detection system designed according to the new standard EN50402. Indeed, the ATEX 94/9/EC directive states that type testing according to function and accuracy are compulsory all over Europe. It details unified performance features but doesn
